This 1913 $2.5 Gold Indian graded pcgs au58. I bought this off Heritage a few weeks ago for $350 + 15% bp. I LOVE the color and color variation. Crusty, original, & undipped old U.S. gold is HARD TO FIND these days.
Its silver, 3.2 grams, size of a penny diamater wise. This coin was $45 after shipping. This particular emperor is cheap & common & has many styles and various mints to choose from. Each coin is hand struck, no 2 are alike, even ones with die matches. Its what makes ancients so fun.
Whenever I go to my lcs I always ask for Morgan dollars. The owner is starting to know even before I ask. 1886
Nice to see these again, They are VERY nice! A fitting first post on page 200! Beautiful pieces, thank you for showing them. -L
Just bought this one off eBay a little while ago. Haven't got it in hand yet obviously. Love the coloring on it! Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
There's a lot of talk (other forums) about how 'lacking' and 'uninspiring' this design is, but I see no evidence of that....... The only thing lacking is the post offices' inability to get my silver dollars to my door today.
A couple of just really nice pieces I picked up today. Love the look of these! 1858 Flying Eagle Cent (Small Letters) Type set piece 1902 Indian Head Cent 1936 Mercury Dime (Full Split Bands?) 1936-S Buffalo just plain nice for .50 cents! Enjoy guys, have a great weekend!
Green, I don't mind the design, but what I mind is the relief it is struck in. The mint makes money off these, so they could at least give us a quality strike :rollling:
My 1966 SMS just came in mail this morning. I liked it so much I ordered a 1967 SMS. Now I will have all the "oddball" sets when the U.S. transitioned from silver to clad. The 1963, last year of Franklin half, 1964, first year of Kennedy half, then 1965,1966, and 1967 the first years of clad coinage and no "sets" except SMS sets.---John
