Already had a nice example of this date but the seller made me an offer I couldn't refuse! The pictures (which are the seller's) don't do justice to this coin, which is proof-like and well struck. That's really not unusual with the 1949s, they generally come nice. Any marks on the coin are just schmutz on the holder. In case anybody want to guess the grade, I hold off posting the picture of the ICCS flip showing the grade. :hail:
Nice dollar! I like the design on the reverse, it reminds me of the older Canadian tokens. What's the chatter above the ear? Is it just a problem with the photo? Looks like some nasty digs and scratches.
The marks above the ear aren't on the coin, They're probably from reducing the size of the photograph.
