I'm a new collector and I just bought these coins at an estate auction, and I don't know much about coins, but I thought it would be a good hobby to get my kids into. Can anyone ID and authenticate these for me just by looking at the pictures? If you can, Thanks! Also can anyone recommend any good beginner books to read for collecting?

Chinese junk. Worth: scrap metal value. Wait, it may have lead in them.

Thanks, I kind of figured from the research I did. Luckily, I payed only a few dollars for them all. Can anyone recommend any good starter books?

Also, how can you tell they are fakes vs the real ones? Is there a method to this?

Little harm in a curiosity purchase. Remember the adage, "Buy the book before you buy the coin." In other words, be educated.

A few bucks for a kick-start towards learning about the real deal isn't too bad.:smile
