hello all, sorry not to have been active much lately. I read post very often trying to pick up on information but it has been very busy. In the history class i teach I just finished up WWII and my coin idea went off very nicely. I let each student pick a '43 steel penny from a bag and we put it in a 2x2. i explained how shortages of metal and such led to the pennies being made of a different metal that year and since then I have had several students bring in coins and ask questions. I try to answer them as best as I can, but I am trying to learn as well. So I thought maybe you all would not mind in helping me grade this Morgan. it is the nicer one that I got from my dad and I can check myself against your expertise. I am placing it around a VF20 due to the wear on the eagle and overall appearance. All criticism is valued, feel free to slam my grading, I welcome all comments in trying to increase my ability. Thanks and have a good week.

Also, I know this is a secondary question, but I am thinking of getting my nephew a set of state quarters for his Bdad...has anyone ever used the site "Coins of America"?...are these sets ok to get? Thanks again

    Seeya all

Thanks very much for the replies, sorry i have not responded before now. I am still studying and using that program to look at a few other coins. It is helping alot. I am glad to here I am not too far off the mark on this. I like it and am going to get a plastic case for it because it belonged to my grandfather. I wonder if he kept it in his pocket long and thought of spending it or just picked it up and put it away for my dad (who ended up with it) Very nice thanks again
