hopefully I get this post and the pictures correct on this post This is a divot, I do not see how this could be made other than a manufacture error. Please tell me what you think about it and have you ever come across something like this
It looks like it has been drilled out. The wear on the coin just smoothed it out. There is a possibility it was struck through but due to the wear, it would be too hard to determine. So, I'm going with post mint damage.
other side I remember as a kid drilling holes in coins to wear as pendants, If it were a drill it would look more torn up on the other side. The mark is right next the the head. Sorry for the not so great pictures, the best I can do right now
Not drilled, someone punched something into it. Created the dent on the neck and the bulge on the back next to the eagles head.
from the looks of it a BB would fit the best but its a little too small. Not sure, pretty cool though. Thanks for your input
