Hey guys, Just picked this one up from a fellow CT Member, thought it would be fun to play a guess the grade with it. ANACS Slabbed
MS66. The obverse is holding it back from a 67 IMO. I discounted the scratches as being on the holder.
Just a bit of clarity, the scratches on Lincoln's coat are on the slab. The majority of the spots are on Lincoln himself.
The new slab? I'd guess 66, and even a 67 would not surprise me. NGC and PCGS would take a much more conservative approach to grading a coin with carbon spots like that, IMO.
So my question about this one is your guys' grading. Are you grading the coin or are you guessing ANACS' grading? Some of you are saying you wouldn't be surprised if ANACS gave it a ___.
I don't typically get to the US coin section but saw the link in coin chat. I'll guess FS-01-1995-101 MS66 RED.
