Wow, I haven't been here in a while!!

I looked all over the forum and couldn't find anything about the coins i found today, I found 5 James Garfield Presidential Dollars. They are all P mint marks but the mint mark, date and "E Pluribus Unum" on the rim are "upside down" on 2 of the coins. I can't get a pic because I don't have a camera that will zoom in but can anyone tell me anything about this?

There is no added value to these.

However, I do believe proof coin edge lettering is supposed to be oriented right side up (exclusively) but the process for minting proofs is different from that of business strikes. Circulation strike coins go through a two part process, whereby the obverse and reverse are struck first and then the edge lettering is applied afterward by the coins being fed into an edge lettering machine. In proof production the edge lettering is applied at the same time the obverse and reverse are struck.

I don;t know why but when I read the thread title, I immediately pictured a coin with a Cat on it.
