Hi ! Guys & Gals, I wasn't sure where to post this, so maybe it's a chat subject. First off, let me say, that I am not the seller nor do I recommend anyone of you to take a chance on this item. After all they say "If it's to good to be true, than it probably is. To me the wording of this person's sales pitch sounds like he may be of foreign birth, and it could be a fake coin. Also, the person has 0 sales except for other people buying on "buy it now". If this is a ligitimate coin then it is quite a bargain and if you want to take the chance as I have, I wanted to give you all a heads up. Below is the link. If and when I get the coin I ordered, I will post it on CT for the experts to determine if it's ligit or not. If it ends up to be a good deal, I will go back for more. Please be advised; Buy at your own risk. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nice-1884-C...87?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item4ab4c2d5bf Dave
Well, it looks like SOMEONE was suspicious -- eBay's already killed the listing. Was this, by chance, a Chinese seller listing "10 available"? Because, as we all know, when rare US coins turn up in China, they do tend to turn up in lots of 10 or more identical specimens.
I too see that the listing has been removed. I am only hoping that the reason is because the seller has received to many offers. He originally had "Buy it now" at ten coins. I am not sure how many offers he got and whether he can satisfy all orders. I did not see that this was a chinese seller. His residence was listed in Florida. I think I am supposed to get a notice from E-Bay if they cancelled the item. Dave
Actually Dave, your original post would have been deleted if I had seen it before the cancelled listing made it moot. Any listing of Buy/Sell/Trade/ Auction must be by a cointalk member for their own account after 10 posts and not for other individuals. Work around postings are not allowed. You are not the only one so I thought I would mention it. Others have been deleted this past week for the same reason. jim
