seated liberty 1876 CC

    Hello, I'm from sweden, and i just went through my grandfathers old swedish coin collection which I got from him when he passed away.
    I stumbled on this little coin among all the swedish coins, Since im not american , i would love some help, is it crap? is it worth anything? tell me please, would be awesome! thanks

    Based on the condition, I would say it is really only worth $10. Still, though..a nice piece of history you have there.

    I don't have a price list next to me sir, but any CC is considered "special" by many collectors. These were struck with silver from the Comstock Lode, and the mint was not open for very many years.

    I am not sure its worth very much, but that mint has a very special history behind it, and makes it a great piece of "American Wild West" memorabilia to own. :)

    Wow, that was some fast replys , thanks :) getting interesting! and if i concider to sell it, it would probably be hard here in sweden, since it's U.s history . but i was googling the dime, and found some interessting things about this dime, something about, If it's "proof" it's worth a whole lot'a money.. I have no idea what that means though.

    Proof is a method of manufacture. Yours is not a proof. :( Any proof from CC is a rare coin indeed, and very expensive.

    Oh , shame :( I saw one of those Proof coins, with my unexperienced eye, i thought it looked exactly the same as my coin. hehe
