Thanks yes I was excited to get this one! Usually the fallen horsman types are of Constantius II (Gallus and Julian II too) but not too many for Constans. Even more rare are the ones of Magnentius. If what you want is 'old' you could go about 700 years older than that particular Constans and spend no more. Constans is a common emperor. The falling horseman is a common type but for Constans' brother Constantius II and hard to find for Constans. Add to that the fact that Randy's new coin is from Siscia which is not as easy to find in Constans horseman type as Thessalonica. While there is always a great variation in price on these ($30 to $100?), this small silver of Miletos is usually said to be the only cheap coin from the archaic period (about 500BC or 2500 years ago). If you accept something a couple hundred years newer (only 2300 years old) the choices get greater and the number of cheaper ones skyrockets. http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=112078
I assumed that the FH from Thessalonica of Constans less common simply because of the many Fel Temps from Siscia. Boy was I wrong.
