I have most of my LMC circulated cents done but am still looking for a few. Where
can you get circulated ones at a decent price.I need a toughie, '70S small date and
don't want to shell out gazillions of dollars for a "folder coin" . Is there any place that
    even sells LMC circulated?----Thanks----John

I just bought a collection that has 2 connected 2x2's that says "1972 small and 1972 large" what exactly is that referring to?

I'm new to collecting, so any information would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    I don't know. I ment in my original post I needed a 1970S small date not a '72. I don't think
there was any 1972 large and small dates, maybe you have the 1970S large and small dates
    confused with the '72?---John

But you have to know how to tell the difference between the small and large if you're going the ebay route. I don't think the one you linked is a small date.
Other than the aforementioned small date 70s and the 60 small dates, any other date can be fairly easily found roll searching.
You could try a posting in the want list in the advertising forum.

    Hey, John:

I will double check them tomorrow and let you know. I knew it was 70-something but not sure of the exact date, figured it was the one you referenced. I will get it out tomorrow and let you know for certain.

    Thanks

You'll have to ask the person you bought those from as the only thing mentioned in Red Book about a 1972 LMC is the DDO 1972 from the Philadelphia Mint and no way of knowing how many exactly are DDO as they were struck in the 2,933,255,000 LMCs from that year and mint.

The OP was asking about the 1970-S small date LMC which is more rare than the large date 1970-S and highly sought after by collectors.

I wouldn't bid on any listing with a small, blurry photo like that. You can't even enlarge it to see if it is a small date or not and that blob under the date is indistinguishable as an S.
