Yesterday, an eBay purchase arrived which had a few hundred world coins from the early 1900s thru the 1990s. The mixture was pretty good but I was really surprised at the silver included. Some of the good ones I got were a 1934 (Swastika) 5 Reichsmark, a 1944 Canadian Dime, 1963 1 Mexican peso, a couple of 1944 (Swastika/not silver) 10 Pfennigs, and two encased coins. The encased coins are a Windsor Canadian with a 1963 Cent, and a Switzerland and USA Good Luck token with a 1944 10 Rappen inside of it. There's also a few pieces of British Caribbean and South American copper. Almost forgot, a Hong-Kong 1960 dollar was also included. For being a $20 buy I was very pleased. Bone
$20 for a few hundred coins? Whoa, good buy Bone... :thumb: Values aside, you're gonna have lots of fun sorting them out.
Thx guys. I wish I could take some pictures but the wife is using the camera for a big project, I've been told to "back off"...LOL There are several East German (aluminum) 5 & 10 pfennigs along with some very nice (odd looking) Pakistani and Afghan pieces as well.
