NW Pennsylvania

    This might be a little off subject, but when I was at the bank the teller
    mentioned a couple people come in and get boxes. With that in mind, is
    anyone here in NW Pennsylvania? I would love to pool our cash and place larger
    orders with the intent of going deeper into the "vault" and seeing if we can get older boxes.

    Well, I was 50 nearly years ago. Ever hear of FNB? Aside from the fact that my father used to play peanuckle with the ex-president (long dead now), one of their VP's used to collect coins. I heard more than once that all of the tellers cash reserves at the original office was converted to silver coinage in 1964/65. I went to college from there so I do not know the end of the story.

    You work for FNB? Back then, that was their only office. Today, they have $11B in assets and that is after splitting the company

    No I do not. But I can certainly ask around when I pass a branch.
