NGC Slabs....

Are much easier to crack....



than PCGS slabs...

Everything from PCGS stinks on ice!

 

Haven't heard that one before. I thought this would be a unite everyone with the freedom of coins, and you turn it into a PCGS hate thread. Go figure.

 

Now lets see them in the Dansco or wherever you have them !!!

 

Ok, just a couple of quick crap photos for you, Yacorie. These are mostly F/VF with a few doubles that I already have in slabs.Don't blame the photographer, blame the camera

So what do you use for cracking, i just try to rip it open by hitting on the seals.

 

The NGC ones, I just took a pair of channel locks and twisted at the top of the slab. After the top loosened, I just ran a screwdriver down the sides and they popped pretty easily. I don't remember how I did the PCGS ones, but it was something similar. All I remember is getting taken to the woodshed.

 

Does the label come out or are they stuck in the slab?

 

The label comes out just fine with both slabs.

 

I have more trouble cracking ngc slabs over pcgs, plus anything from pcgs stinks as geezer said

 

One day you will realize, it's the coin that matters.

 

Well i know we're all supposed to buy the coin but not the slab, but i'm not a member of PCGS because i just don't like their holder, and i find their website more difficult to navigate...and NGC can be submissive through the ANA members as well. I'm not even going to touch on the subject of who grades tougher though.

 

Why would anyone want to break out of slab to put in dansco

 

Why not, much easier to display, takes up less space, I do the same thing, coins were meant to be free

 

For me i put it in airtite album's mainly because It reduces volume and easily to move around.

 

Because it's the cool thing to do....

 

It's an excuse to get out my toolbelt

 

Currently working on an ICG slab. I'm more than impressed with it.
