Stupid computer chair!!!

Damn it my but my chair kicked the bucket tonight... the hydrolic doohickey went kablewey and I don't like sitting 6 inches off the floor...
There went my coin budget for the month.... except my loving woman perked up and said... I didn't get you anything for your Bday yet... so find the chair you want and go for it... (oh I coulda been such a bad boy lol) So I got the one I've been wishing for but wouldn't "buy" for myself lol...

Yeah that's the GTRacing GTPlayer GT800a... reclines with a foot rest and usb massage thingie in the lumbar pillow. in silver carbon fiber and pu black leather. you kiddies didn't think I was gonna go neon green, blue or red did you? Hell no!!! not for 30-70 dollars more just for color. (though I could have gotten it for 15 dollars cheaper in 2 tone pink.... I'm cheap but not that cheap lol)
Bout damn time I upgraded my throne

You know you can replace the hydraulic shock right?

 

Hehe over a period of at least 15 years it has served me well... and I got it 2nd hand (though near new). I've replaced the wheel base and shock twice and all the castors/wheels 3-4 times each, and use a beach towel over it 99% of the time now as the split faux leather pinches/scratches. I thinks it's time for a new throne

 

Me thinks you should have gotten one years ago. Nice choice on this one.!! Nice chair with the bells and whistles. I was looking at these myself but went cheap with a $69 model.

mrweaseluv, Dang that chair got stuff growing out of it. Yeah, it's time to harvest the chair.

 

I looked around to find one for my chair but didn't find anything.
So I've been going "shockless" for a number of years (5?).
The current chair is just a bit lower now than I'd like but still useable.
But other parts of it are failing so a new chair is needed.

 

Now, THAT's a chair that's served with distinction!

 

Dat the 2nd hand (nearly new) one? Man-o-man you got your use out of that one. Looks like it did a tour in Bosnia........

Mind you, I spend 80% of my day in this chair. It is not a low use item and being that it is my "primary" seating in the house, I damn well want something comfortable and long lasting... So yeah spent a bit more then I might have otherwise
