Quite good. Just a bit of white around the coin edge still, but otherwise it's good

Yea, I zoomed in and tried to get it, but kinda rushed since it was my first one.

    What program did you use?

Edit: and nice job for the first time!'

Edit: your white balance seems to be a bit off as well, but you'll get the hang of it.

Is that actually the color of the coin? Seems seriously "gold", but what do I know, I don't collect them :)

Well the color of the coin came out like that because I have no special lighting, just the light from my desk lamp. The coin itself looks better in person, the silver luster is still evident.

I am using photoscape too, I was recommended to it by one of the other CT members earlier.

Try holding a white piece of paper in front of the camera, and adjust the white balance, something like auto white balance, and the coin should come out more silver looking.

You can use the Bright, Color button in Photoscape, then select the White Balance option to correct the orange color of the photos. If that doesn't totally correct it, use the Color Balance option under the same button.
