This souvenier is probably at least 55 yrs. old and it's 2 3/4 in. dia.by 1/4 in. thick and quite heavy. I was wondering if there were any souvenier collectors out there who could shed some lite on it's composition or original price. It was a gift from an aunt where I was just a squirt. Just curious. Thanks for any info, Lake.

Hi lakebreeze. Welcome to the forum.

You have one of a series of souvenier medals sold in the gift shops at National Parks. Bryce Canyon is in Utah's red rock country north of the Grand Canyon.

Her's a bigger pic. Being so heavy it might be a paper weight? It's from Bryce Canyon N.P.

Bryce Canyon is spectacular but has been "discovered" in the last few years so can be pretty crowded. There are a few collectors for state and national park medals. There are a wide assortment of these and they're generally inexpensive. This one may be a little scarcer since I've not seen it before.

That obverse reminds me of the Indian depicted on the obverse of the Buffalo Nickels of the early 20th Century.

Talking abt National Parks, I just recall I have a brass medal from Grand Teton National park... it's a 'lucky coin'. That's what it says. :)
