As of the early 1990s, collecting chopmarked trade dollars is a virtually untouched field, and I suspect that fewer than a dozen numismatists have this specialty. Much of the rarity/availability data on chopmarked coins is highly conjectural. Here is a field awaiting additional research.

It would be great if you used a magnifying glass or something to get some better pictures that are in focus. I have a hard time telling anything from those pictures.

  4. I don't see anything that makes this coin any more valuable. It's clearly a cast copy, I'm thinking 20th century. The details are far off from genuine, and it screams "fake". Sorry 'bout that

Cointalk Rule 4 – Multiple posts and/or threads.

If you have a question, please, first consider the appropriate section of the forum to place your question. If you don’t know, that’s fine, just the pick the one you think is best. However, it is only necessary to ask your question or make your comment ONCE ! Please do not make multiple posts or threads on the same subject, even if they are in different areas or forum sections. Somebody will see your question or comment no matter where you put it and provide an answer if they can. I have yet to ever see a question that could not be answered by somebody on Coin Talk.

And please, use some patience. Not everybody is on-line every minute of the day. Usually a question will be answered within a few hours at most. But if your question is not answered immediately, be patient. Some members only visit the site every few days.
