So, my coin dealer has this beast. Graded by NGC He has it marked for $499, for me, $350-$400. The minute I saw it though I knew it was an amazing coin. I know there is a bit of a craze right now for FB Mercs and the prices are going up on them. But just owning a high grade FB merc is awesome alone. I'm probably going to buy it, after I buy his toned 1931-S Penny, what do you guys think? He has a habit of marking everything, don't mind it. Kind of funny though, he bought a huge 200K collection from a New York City coin dealer and even his are all marked, but they aren't strong adhesive stickers. Pretty much fall of with a flick. Emailing myself the pictures now. http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/CertResults.aspx?CertNumber=1668460-001
Thanks for the advice. He still has boxes of stuff he hasn't even gone through (from the NY dealer)Elitistclan so ill keep looking and maybe I get an ungraded on the cheap.
Actually, now that I'm looking at it again on my computer instead of my phone, if you can get it for $350, I'd buy it and flip it.
Thanks, I believe he said $400 and a $350 buy back in case I can't sell it for more. BUT I really want to start a Graded collection so if I bought it I would hold on to it.
I have done that a few times now. He sells to me for crazy discounts and a few times I've bought and threw on eBay and made good money which I then went back to him with and purchased exactly what I want still at a discount. However, my FB Rating is only an 18 (100% though) and eBay still holds my funds for a long time so it's not a quick flip by any means. I'll definitely give it a shot once my most recent funds clear. Figure I can't get the feedback over 25 (when they stop placing holds) if I don't continue selling.
I did post one thing here and only received one reply and it was a bit ... low. Then again the item was a modern commem and there is a small market for it. I know eBay/Paypal do take a healthy chunk but there is lots of security with selling/buying there. Even if it would cost me I'd agree to a price then list as a BIN and have that user purchase that way.
