Well, I went to a show today and completed my Franklin half album. I bought the two best 49 halves they had there, a proof 63 and a 64 Kennedy for it. I still have 3 open spots at the end if I end up finding some interesting ones down the road that I want to add. I might keep an eye out for toners and I can't rule out upgrading a couple here and there. But I can say I have a full set now. Been working on it since about 2009 on and off. This set spent a lot of time on the back burner. I noticed my standards grew higher the further along I got into it. A few are crack outs with the labels on the back cover, but most were purchased loose. I wanted some NGC, PCGS FBL examples mixed in to compare with the loose ones I bought.
Congratulations on the accomplishment! It's always a great feeling to complete something so special. Nice job, beautiful set! -L
Great set! I'm close on mine...the 52 S left for the mint state set. Again, congrats on the accomplishment.
Outstanding presentation, good job on your patience and desire to put together a beautiful set! On to the next one.
Great set! I'm sure this didn't happen overnight, enjoy the feeling of accomplishment before you begin the next collection!
That is an attractive set! I am aiming at collecting a set myself. Tonight i just picked up a ms65 fbl 49-d myself. I love the set though! Time to tackle the next set!
