A while back I picked up a bag of what was being sold as No Date Buffs. Turns out there were a lot of them that had dates, or at least partials that I was able to use to fill a secondary book. Now i have several rolls worth of true no date buffs (or ones where the date can not be 100% identified). Is there any real value to these that I should hold on to them for my collection or should I try to trade them out? I have some that are mint marked that I know I will keep, but I'm starting to think it's time to thin out some of this stuff to make room for stuff i'd rather have.
Not much value... my local dealer sells common low grade buffs with date for fifty cents. I would just get a bottle of "nic-a-date" and have some fun.
Yeh, i have some nic-a-date. I planned on going at them with it to try to fill my partial date book, but I know they are pretty much junk after that. I wish there was a way to do it that didn't leave such an obvious mark on the coin. I may part some of them out to further my collection.
