looking for a little advice in this one please. to me this looks like a ddr? maybe? if it is, it's obviously not the type one on coppercoins, the other is the type 2 but my coin does not have any seperation lines on the word one. also the type 2 has a die crack running from the bottom right corner of the memorial to the rim, so would that die crack be on EVERY type 2? any advice would be appreciated whether it be on the ddr question or the die crack question. ty 1983 ddo ite 1.jpg 1983 ddo ite 2.jpg 1983 ddo ite.jpg

It looks like it might be a possibility. Not all of them will have the die crack. It all depends when, during the life of the die, that the crack developed.
If it were mine , I might spend the $5.00 and have it looked at.

Yeah, the presence of a die marker can help you confirm that it's a particular die but the absence of a marker does not confirm that your coin is not from a particular die.

so it would be the same for die scratches? so if it is not the type 2 how do i find out its value?

Yes, that would include die scratches and polish lines.
Before you can determine it's value, you first have to determine that it is actually a doubled die. I can't tell for sure whether it is or not from your pics. If you're fairly confident by your in hand examination and comparing it to known examples that it is a doubled die, send it in to Coppercoins or Wexler or Billy Crawford and have it authenticated. Then you can start determining value.
