  3. Yes. When copper oxide is a green colour. Brass is actually an alloy of copper and zinc, so both turn green,

You only need one thread per coin. Posting mulitple threads about the same coin is annoying and frustrating. Please just post one thread per coin.

FIY- Coin Talk has a worldwide membership. This means different time zones. When you post and don't get an answer in five minutes, it does not mean people are ignoring you. They may be sleeping, working, going to school or doing whatever. Not every member is sitting in front of the computer 24 hours a day just waiting to reply to your posts.

Also, the member(s) that may have the answer might have to research the information which takes time. Be patient. Sometimes to get an answer may take hours or days.

Coin Talk has members who are the top experts in different areas of coin collecting. You'll eventually learn who they are.

Relax and enjoy the hobby. Finding rare coins (or errors) is difficult and it takes education to realize what you have when you have found one. Be sure that most of the older coins you handle have probably gone through many collectors before you. There is a reason rare coins are valuable. It's because they are rare.
