Does anyone know if this is a casting seam or a minting crease

can try taking a better picture if this one is not clear enough

when you look at the coin it looks like there are two coins with a silver colord coin in the middle

    thank you:hail:

It depends. What is the coin ? It might be a sign the coin was cast. Or it might be a sign the coin was struck with misaligned dies if the coin was struck without a collar. Or, if it was struck with a collar, it could be a partial collar error.

But we need to know more to determine that.

Also do you know why all the N's on the coin look different than each other

The T's are different and the E 's are different

    thanks

Off the top of my head, I'd say you have a cast fake.

I agree. It's not a very good fake either.

That should end any lingering doubts the OP may have had about the coin's authenticity. I'm glad we got that cleared up quickly.

Btw other coins in the first photo appear to be cast fakes as well.

This is definitely a casting seam.

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

    cast fake

continental fakes outnumber the real ones 10 to 1, if I had to guess.

I'd say 1000 to 1 is more like it... ;)

well I dont understand ...because i read hoe the coins were made and it said they took two sides and put a planchard ( or something like that ) between the the two outter and put it on a machine and pressed and that makes a coin ....notice how I used my own words this time ...i didnt know that was not allow

    P1040180.jpg P1040192.jpg eed ...but I do now

I feel like you are making fun of me ...all i am doing is asking because I dont know
and I am only going on the things i read online ....I think my cin looks like two coins with a third one in the middle and the middle one is not a seam becasue it isnt flush it sticks way out from the outter two

    I just dont understand .....

just so you know the piece in the middle isnt flush with the outter parts it stick out from the edge but not the whole way around only there ther rest doesnt have a seam
