    interesting do you think its possible that a local gold backed currency could be made. i know there doing it ion some states like utah ....

    Interesting article. Thank you for sharing. Really got the brain stiring. As long as the authority in charge was well meaning that it would be great. My only worry would be if you became trapped within the system. I have been told that West Virginia coal miners used to get paid in trade tokens. Their tokens were good for the general store, and other forms of bartering within the community. On the other-hand many found themselves trapped within their coal mining community. Something like gold or silver would actually have purchasing power. Somebody/someone running a machine had to mine that gold/silver. It is real?
