I need some help with find the country of origin for these coins. I hope the scans are high enough quality to determine the origin. I have all of my world coins identified except for these! TIA!

They were all struck in year 2500, 1957 in our calendar. For some reason this was a very large issue, as these are the most common pre 1960 Thai coins I have come across. I even bought a full BU roll on ebay once of the 50 satangs for about $8.

I believe the 1957 date was frozen on the coins for several years.

Could very well be. The Thai's froze dates, and reissued scarce coins often. I know King Rama VIII coins were never issued in his lifetime, (since he was made Rama VIII posthumously), but they struck them for many years with a frozen date so the people could have coins from him.
