Can't seem to find any definitive information on this token. Wondering if anyone has seen anything like it before or has any input. I'm thinking it may be related to the 1968 American Numismatic Association's convention in San Diego.

I found a similar token here, but can't find one exactly like it.

Nice token but there's nothing at all about it that says numismatist or anything nearby. My guess is it's a convention token alright but it could be for playground safety or something to do with music. What is with the lady's head? Is her head a world globe?

Why do you think the token would have anything to do with the ANA? It looks like an ordinary token promoting San Diego to me.

Did you guys check out the coin in the link I posted? It has the same side as this one. Also, this coin came from a coin collector. Of course, it could be a standard-use token die for the time, but I haven't found it anywhere else but on that ANA coin.

It's also the only lead I have.

And the lady has a ring around her face (not sure if it's a space helmet or something else), and her face has a nose, eyes and mouth that are made of 4 blobs (aka poorly drawn)

OK. I see what you mean now. I don't know the answer to your question. Perhaps you should contact the ANA and ask them. Also, David Sklow is an expert on things related to the ANA. He is a numismatic bookseller. He may be able to answer your question.
