I found that exact same commorative about 3 months ago.

    Box of halves: 1 90%er, 2 40%ers, a 1987 S Clad Proof, and 5 NIFC coins :)

2 boxes of halves today . Box 1: 6 40%'s and a 1918 D Walking Liberty that was an ender on a roll! Box 2: 2 40%'s. Two more boxes to go, I hope there as good as the first two.

I found that same one myself last summer. It's my one and only commerative. That's a good find!

Finally broke the skunk streak with 11 40% in one box, including 3 enders! After last week's taped up S&S box with the slit open rolls I was ready to give up, but this box got me hooked again. Unfortunately it looks like I have new competition as I overheard one of the bank employees talking on the phone with someone about ordering halves.

Also hit 5 banks on my lunch break, got 2 Ikes and a 1980S SBA that kinda looks like a proof but I'm not sure.

Nice score AU. I know there are 2 other hunters for sure at the branches I order from. I'll be doubling my volume soon. I want get close to what Merc is doing, 6 boxes per week on halves. Starting next week I'll be doing 2 boxes/week, and whatever I find on the weekends.

Did two boxes of dimes (Dime total at $100,081 now.) both were skunks. Not a great way to break the $100k mark. Grabbed a box of quarters on a whim, out popped not one, but two silvers. :D Nickels also gave up a pair of silver war nicks.

Two more boxes of halves. Box 1 : 3 40%'s 1 90% . Box 2: 4 40%'s 1 1956 Canadian half on my the last roll in the box! One of my better days for roll hunting.

    Finally!!!!

Well as I said yesterday I was not to be denied the 100 ounces of Silver since I started last May. This was my morning....

    Bank 1:
    Box 1 of Halves: Skunk

    Bank 2:
    Box 2 of Halves: Skunk

    Bank 3:
    Box 3 of Halves: 2 x 40%ers
also grabbed Customer Wraps from the bank I grabbed Box 3 from in the following:

    $40 in Dimes: Skunk
    $40 in Quarters: Skunk
$14 in Nickels: This was an interesting batch...someone dumped GrandPops. There were at least 4 rolls of 1960 and earlier. I did not keep them as I just was not in the mood. In hind sight I wish I did. However, I did get:

    1 x 1943 War
and the smoothest V-Nickel I have ever seen. There is nothing left on the back and on the front you can barely see 1893...I can't imagine it's worth anything unless it's considered a pocket nickel, but I don't know if that even exists (MERC - any ideas?)

    Bank 4:
Box 4 of Halves ($400 only as someone snagged $100 from my box): 8 x 40%ers
Box of Dimes: 3 x Silver Rosies

    So on the day:

    10 x 40%ers Ken's
    3 x Silver Roosies
    1 x War Nickel
and the smoothest V Nickel I've ever seen

    Total Ounces: 101.5593!!!
    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D :D:D

You got it Ace! Nice day.

    @fish968
That Canadian was probably pretty cool. I always like finding foreign in the half rolls, even better if it's foreign silver.

I got skunked on halves today. But I did get 4 Rosies out of a a box, and 1 Rosie sitting on the floor next to the coin counter.

The lucky streak continued today! Went into TD for my weekly dump, right off pulled an arcade token, a plastic "play money" penny, and a Mexican 20cent from the trash cup on the machine. As usual the teller had to open the machine and change the bag several times, but when she opened it she picked up a few coins out of the bottom of the machine and handed them to me. In the handful were a 1966 cent in AU condition and a 1962 silver quarter!

To keep up with how much I lose to counting machine errors, I write the amount that should be in the box on a scrap of paper. I had 2 boxes to dump, with $450 in each. Somehow it added up to $919.50, so if I didn't completely screw up on my count I came out way ahead this time!

Nice day congrats on the milestone. :)

That V-Nick isn't worth much. Only coins uncommonly found worn down to that state draw premiums.

Merc - figured as much...I'll probably give it to my daughter as she said she wanted one. I'll see if I can get a photo some time soon.

    Congrats Ace!

My husband went on his daily bank run (he works retail) and the teller said she had a box for him. Totally unexpected. So I ran up to his job to get it and my son and I went through them tonight. 7 40%ers and a 64! Oh, and a really jacked bicentennial proof. Not bad when you think your roll searching is over for the week.

Of course congrats are in order sir Franklin. Not sure why but I had a great day as well. I love it when I travel to new areas because of my daughter's soccer tournaments. I find more in far out banks on road trips than anywhere else.

Bought the last $23 of halves at the local bank, got one more 40% half. But I also spotted two silver quarters ('45 and '48) sitting in the teller's coin tray and she was nice enough to let me buy them! So that's 12 40% halves in about $30 worth!
