Here's the newest addition to my Dansco 7070 type set. Please guess the grade that the new ANACS assigned it.

Nice coin, I'm going to go with MS-63, but weak strike reverse. On another note How do you get your pictures so clear and sharp, I just can't get mine to look that good.

    Nice coin Mike
From the smaller photos the coin looks great but on the larger ones I see what looks to be hairlines and some dirt around the stars.......that IMHO has been cleaned.
And around MERIC looks to be a Lamination---that also downs the grade IMHO
The die Cracks look really cool and I like them....

My grade is MS Detail NET AU50----
but I say ANACS just gave it a AU55

    I don't think it's been cleaned so I'll say ANACS AU-55.

I'd say the coin has been circulated based particularly on the reverse. And with the scratch it should be considered as damaged. With the old ANACS it should have been net graded about XF40, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn the new ANACS graded it AU50/55.

I don't know---I think I graded it what ANACS would have but after GDJMSP said that it showed some signs of circulation I went back and looked and see that the stars show some wear---I know that Nickel is harder and sometimes doesn't get the strong strike that other coins do but I can see what would be called wear.

I'll go with AU53/55 details and cleaned, but I could see ANACS giving it AU58 details.

A little hint, ANACS did not net grade the coin. It was holdered in their new slab....Mike

Mike, so you're cracking out coins to put in the album? I have the same album but haven't cracked out anything for it... yet. Most of what goes in there are less than perfect examples (some with holes/plugs even).

Same here, only my set is all holed. It is rather an intersting set, even if the value is just a fraction of the same set consisting of damaged coins. It has been a ton of fun to put together! And it has gotten me familiar with the different types that I am pursueing for my "good" type set.

I agree - plus the center of the some of the stars are worn and not well defined.

Mike if you come back on here and tell us that coin was graded as MS - so help me I'm gonna write to Taylor myself. Not that it will do any good - but I'll do it anyway.
