Hey guys? I cherrypicked this today! Looks the same as this: http://www.coinfacts.com/large_cent...ents/1835_large_cents/1835_large_cent_n11.htm and it states it's Rare! What might the value be on some thing like this? Thanks in advance!! Stop Motion
Dont have an idea on value, but I know that it's quite rare. I'd probably place the value at around $50, but that's only an out-of-the-air guess.
You might want to check ebay. The prices realized on recent auctions are usually not too far out of line.
NICE FIND. Definitely an N 11. The N 11 has a Rarity of 5+. Which is 31 to 45 known examples according to EAC. As for Price, The only one I could find was an NGC AU 55 that sold on Hertage for 3,105 Dollars. Yours looks like Maybe only a G-4 but with only 31-45 examples known I would say around a $100.00 But to a Variety collector looking for an N 11 could it be worth a lot more.
WoW! That's awsome! Thanks for the great info! If I was to sell this what would the best way be to do it? Just sell it raw an ebay with Good photos? Thanks, SM
Rarity is down on those. They are still quite tough but now are only listed as an R-4+ (76 - 115 pieces) and they list at $100 in G-5. If I sold it on eBay I would just do it raw, with good photos, and proper identification of the variety. I'm not sure if it would do better, but another possibility might be to consign it to next years EAC sale. You could probably get a beter idea of the best way to handle it by talking to some of the major copper dealers. How many requests do they get for 35 N-11's? Is there a good demand for them?
