Richmond Collection of Gold Coins

    David Lawrence Rare Coins has been promoting its "Richmond Collection of Gold Coins" for several months now. How significant do you think this collection is, as compared to other great "name" collections of the past? Just curious whether this is really a big deal, or if it is just the first major auction that DLRC has done in a while.

    No, I would not consider it a *really* big deal. But, it is a considerable collection with a number of gold rarities.

    Best way to put it... if one of the lots happens to be a coin that you have been looking for... then it is a big deal ;-)

    I agree. Many dealers and auction houses like to pedigree collections so that they realize more money. When ranking the top collections first would be completeness. Some names stand far and above the rest.
