Once I saw CheetahCats' 1863 Civil war tokens, I knew I had to have this one in particular. If this doesn't represent 19th century patriotism, I don't know what does. But I'm not sure how I should store it safely in my binder album. I don't want to put it in a mylar flip because then I won't be able to see the back of it due to the paper. Would one of my archival safe 2x2's work to preserve it? Or is there something else I should get to hold it that would fit into the standard flip/2x2 binder slot? Brian
Also, does anyone have a book that lists the rarities of these tokens? I appear to have a 209/413a or a 209/412a (need to verify) and can't find any info on the rarity. Thank you
Intercept shield plastic 2x2. Measure the diameter and see what it matches closest and just order a pack of them. Ive seen an 1804 silver dollar in one. It should work fine for protecting this.
There should be five rows of seven stars on that flag. I only see five rows of five which would indicate only 25 states in the union. Nice coin really. Perhaps intercept shield is the way to go with such a nice historical red coin. Either that or slab it with NGC or PCGS.
Do either of you have the exact dimensions on those intercept holders (length, width, depth)? It seems like they wouldn't fit in my 2x2 binder holders, but I'm not sure without the dimensions. Thank you
Anyone have a Fuld catalog (or similar) and can correctly identify this token's numbers please? I know of an online catalog, but I think the 412/413 die images may be incorrect.
