i actually live near a power plant, and if it were to be targeted by "terrorists" ( the power plant is one of the top 25 power plants in the US that would cause injuries/deaths due to toxic gases being stored on site) so this may or may not be a good place to put coins in the ground. :hail:
You forgot the part where we send it to PCGS! by the way, I actually have seen a coin that said it was exposed to radiation. I regret not buying it, because having a glow in the dark coin would be cool!
so you live near a power plant? well here are some instructions to get some VERY shiny coins. 1. Start working at the plant. 2.work there for X amount of years until you are able to access the reactor chamber. 4. secretly put some coins inside the reaction chamber 5.wait a few days 6.CAREFULLY take coins out of chamber 7.notice I skipped instruction #3 8. You now hopefully have some very shiny coins!
Then you loose all hope of never getting cancer or having pets. If you sent it to PCGS, you would probably be arrested and tried for a chemical weapon attack. Just my thoughts, and your prison sentence.
actually, i am trying to go to college for environmental management. I would be able to work with companies to make sure their footprint is within guidelines and they arent killing wildlife, so maybe ill slip through the cracks
The coin was from a very long time ago, and because there was exposed to not very much radiation or metal doesn't absorb radiation, the coin was safe. The coin we were sending to PCGS on the other hand would be taken as terrorism.
Francium is unstable, sodium + water = sodium hydroxide (lye), and how did this thread go from using a power tool to clean coins to using antimatter to clean them?
It is rather effective. I use extra coarse sand blasting sand and tobasco sauce in my tumbler so my coins are shiny in minutes not hours or days.
and now the men in black from the FBI are reding this thread, and locating all of you who are talking about nuke's and terrorism
WOW... I just use my belt sander. I try my best to get it cleaned back to the original planchet! You should see them shine!!! never clean your coins
I find the orbital sanders negatively effects the luster of my coins. And I know everyone is going to scream coin doctoring at me, but I think of it as coin restoration... So when I'm done with my orbital sander, I use this little fella to get a bit of luster back. It even sorts them for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A6yOk7Jt7c&feature=youtube_gdata_player
That, my now arrested friend, is because you alerted us to their presence. Had you kept quiet and gone in for questioning, they probably would have let you go, for the moment, that is
*fake coughing* *lightly hidden words, "IP address* added somewhere in the fake cough* In other words, yo just gave out your general location. You better start running.
