I think it's good experience in telling the difference between real and fake. Just browse the items this guy has for sale and sold in his feedback: For sale: http://www.ebay.com/sch/liaoyao1682009/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686 Feedback: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...sspagename=VIP:feedback&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller
My 2cents :devil:February I am sure what the cut off date is. eBay claim's there will ban all copy's coins Graded & raw. but will they really do it for all seller/eBay has 2 set's of rule's. 1 is if your sell over 1k per month then the rules for small seller $$$ is what may apply ? Copy Rule is not yet in place we will have to wait and see?
Look at all the bidders. I'm sure all of them bidding simply want a replica "for their collection". My guess is at least half of them will be back on ebay, offered as real. And people will get ripped off without knowing it and leave them positive feedback.
Yeah I agree Vess. I do have to say that at least these all say COPY on them. There's far more that don't say that...
I saw no “copy” stamped on this Hawaiian & the Barber half (which has since closed) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-188...84?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3a6ff5715c Those are actually the only two that I initially clicked because they looked deceiving.
Double post. Sorry. Now I see the "copy". It is nicely hidden in the design. I cannot check the Barber again because the auction is closed now.
These are likely to get bought up and sold off as the real deal in shows and other auctions. Can't necessarily blame the seller but that is how it goes.
:devil:I wonder how eBay will deal with the Ngc SS Republic recover and the coin that are copys but still in Ngc holder& #?? some if them were sold for big$??
I really don't mind copies if they have copy stamped on them. The large cent copies he has a pretty bad, but some of the ones I have seen from Gallery Mint are very nicely done and I would not mind owning some of them. Let's face it, i would have to hit the lottery to own an S-15, so a well done replica is pretty cool.
