Was this circular scratch from the mint process or from circulation?

I believe this coin has been in a box for over 20 years.

I get that sometimes when searching halves. I think it might be from the rolling process.

Sometimes things like this happen when coins are rolled.

yeah its from the rolling machine, i held onto a delaware quarter for 2 yrs before i collected coins thinking something was special about it, but when i started roll searching, i noticed that almost all of the ends on the dimes i was getting had the same exact mark on them. Needless to say that deleware quarter bought me a soda at work!

Counting machine would be my guess.

Said a bit differently, I've never seen a rolling machine mark on an Ike or an Ike roll.

    Has anyone else?
