I was wondering if this dime is collectable or not? And if so how much would it be worth? I'm guessing it's a error coin but then again someone could have done this to it, but I don't know anything about coins so I was hoping you guys could help me.

I would say that someone with nothing better to do with their time did some work on this dime. We call it PMD (post mint damage).

Is it the same size as a normal dime?

The only way I'd collect it is in change, then it's off for my next purchase.
Dryer coin. Spend it. But keep looking, the good ones ARE out there.

I agree, dryer coin. That means that it went through a home appliance like a washing machine or a dryer one or many times.

It's not a dryer coin. Someone ground off the obverse perimeter.

I agree. I would bet if the OP weighed the coin it would weigh less than it should.
