Real or Fake?

Just wanted to get some opinions on if this coin was real or a fake.

Hard to tell from the pictures but the pictures do indicate some improper cleaning. Are you eyeing to buy this? If so, don't unless you like your collection to contain ugly improperly cleaned coins.

 

Yeah, I'd definitely pass on that one, ESPECIALLY if it's on ebay.

 

The mintmark seemed a bit off to me so I wasnt sure about bidding or not.

That is a $40k to $50k coin and it's NOT Graded & Slabbed ???? :dead-horse:

its either harshly cleaned , but to me it looks fake.. without a acid test i cannot tell

 

It is a fake. There is only one die variety for this issue. Compare the coin above with this one. (enlarge the photos for better comparison) Note the date and the position of the mintmark.

 

Naw dude buy it and waste your money
