What are examples of these 50 cent hard plastic holders? What's the best way to keep them? I currently use saflips in pages of 12 or 20, and that's a great way to arrange and view. Is there a similar and inexpensive way to do so with the hard holders?

Thanks much. So if you want to do it right, it's 50 cents for the airtite, and another dollar to hold it in an album (e.g. 30 spaces for $25). Looks like I may step up to that for a few favorites. But I assume they're like potato chips: once you get one Airtite album full, you can't stop there, no?
I wonder about slabs as far as toning on a long term basis. I have some slabs that show signs of toning when slabbed; wonder if it will progress... Ben. Tampa FL
Just found these CoinEdge products from CoinWorld. Any thoughts on them? The price and description sound good to me, as well as the look of the presentation, and the ability to put in standard 3-ring binders.
Yes it will progress. Slabs do not stop toning, they only slow it down. But the fact that you are noticing the toning at all indicates that you are not storing the coins correctly. You need to change that. They're fine. But if you are going to use those 3 ring binder pages you need to make sure that you only use non PVC pocket pages.
I would stay away from those because of the flocking. I never use anything with flocking as over time the flocking could flake off and make its way into the holders and damage the coins. Check the link here and look at Quadrum clear album pages they are compatible with 3 ring binders. They may hold the CoinEdge holders but Quadrum makes their own holders that will fit the pages. You could buy the albums from them or elsewhere. It may cost a bit more that the supplies from CoinWorld but it might be worth it in the long run. http://www.lighthouse.us/epages/lig...jectPath=/Shops/leuchtturm_us/Products/ENCAPQ
I am trying out the coinedge holders, though the holders are good I'm not a fan of the pages. The plastic feels flimsy and the velvet feel does not look good.
Well, if the collection is of great value you to you, morally or financially, and you plan to keep it for a great amount of time, i'd reccomend just getting air-tites. 2 X 2 cardboard holders can pose a great deal of issues. You have cardboard dust, which can be damaging init of itself, and you also have the risk of staple contact even with flat staples. Mylar flips also pose problems. The sharp corners can damage the surfaces of the coins as well. The snap-together slabs are really pointless for a bulk collection, unless you want to catalouge & label each one, and can be expensive. The reason i reccomend air-tites is they can be purchased in bulk, can be stored in coin tubes as well, and are economically correct for long term storage.
Icerain see info above about the Quadrum by Lighthouse. It looks like their pages will hold the CoinEdge holders just double check that they are non PVC - I havent used them.
Thanks looks like it might fit, Lighthouse is known for making quality products as I have been storing my stamps in their products for years. But I'm going to double check anyway.
