I can't make anything out except possibly a face looking to the left. It looks copper and weighs around 8.52 grams. It's thinner than the large cents are.
Wow, it looks pretty far gone. But just to put your mind at ease, if it was a common date large cent, even a readable date but still in poor condition would only be worth $4-7. So you're not losing much.
Oh, no worries... It was free. I'm just curious to figure out what it is since it's so much lighter than the large dates.
