I have no idea. I don't know the different brand names and whether they contain PVC or not. I just know how to tell PVC sheets from non PVC sheets, and that PVC is one of the worst enemies that a coin can have.
cant realy find the material of the Hartberger's, but as far as i can find on the internet everybody says its oke to use them (they are made of the most coin-friendly material whatever that is ) these are the ones i am talking about: http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/HARTBERGER-10-bladen-voor-20-munthouders-super-GM20SU-/390227418158
Ok very good. So these "air tights" are the hard plastic holders like this right? Should I just put all of my coins in these after being cleaned?
koen - If you have one test it. If it smells like a new shower curtain - PVC. If it is soft and pliable and you can bend it back and forth, crease it like a sheet of paper, and it doesn't crack - PVC.\ edit - you can even burn it to test it. Cut a tiny piece off the corner. Stick it on a copper wire and light it on fire. If the flame has a greenish cast - PVC.
they dont smell like a shower curtain, that i am sure. They are soft and pliable, but they dont crack but they do become less shiny and get a white glaze on them when you bend them back and forth
So far I have being using Ultra-Pro pages. According to them its PVC free, it doesn't smell like a shower curtain but it is soft and pliable. And so far it hasn't turned into a yellowish color either.
I have been using mine for many years and they have no discoloring but I dont think I'm going to chance it. I'm going to put everything in the air tight holders to be safe.
