The details look just fine, but with something of this value, you want to be extra careful about modern re-strikes. Laser cut dies can replicate the details perfectly. Even the edges can be done well by using the same type of collar.
I don't see any questionable characteristics. The weight is spot on, and the diameter may also be. Are you using calipers, or a ruler/measuring tape? Precise diameter is 38.58mm which is hard to distinguish from 39mm with anything but very accurate calipers.
I'm still not convinced. I unfortunately have handled a couple of such super counterfeits and this particular coin seem to be similar to what is shown here especially the details. I cannot explain it any better but it just has a odd relief surface. If you really want a genuine example, you can buy them off from Yahoo Japan auctions. There seem a couple that's ok at ebay but again - need to know the seller.
