I have thought about that. I quests I am hesitate because I have a poor mans collection..never considered it worthy But they do mean very much to me
Along the same lines as TopCat....you've got a dog......they expect dog food. 1. Get one of the large dogfood containers, put your coins in double freezer bags and put them in the bottom under the food. 2. I like the false outlet idea. The post construction boxes and plates can be purchased for $2-$3. 3. False bottom drawers. 4. I also like your "in plain view" idea. Stay away from the traditional hiding places. ...........but I would say the worst place is in a lockbox in your closet. If they break in there's a 99%+ chance your coins are gone!
I have old phone outlet that is not used and already an empty void in my wall...I cover it with a small painting... I am gonna stash some stuff in that
Yep, I got some great hiding places but they wouldn't be good anymore if I shared that information on the internet.
The best way? either a safety deposit box at a bank or another family member's house. Preferably in a nearby state and in a safe neighborhood.
Safety Deposit Box. or Wear a hoodie all the time, maybe a compound bow over your shoulder and argue with your imaginary friends outside where people can see you, make some suspicious mounds of fresh dirt in the yard.Take the remote outside and aim it at the houses and cars on the street, and appear frustrated nothing blows up . Thieves will leave your house alone.
I know attic and basement aren't the best due to humidity, but if you put them in one of those plastic tote boxes/stackable containers along with a moisture absorber or silicon packets that should do the trick. Then just put that box under some others and I highly doubt they'll go into your attic as well as dig through it all. They are probably looking for quick jewelry and electonics.
1.obtain large amount of animal feces 2.obtain plastic bag 3.put box in bag 4.cover in feces 5.???? 6.profit! where I come from, saying things like this is O.K.
I am pretty good about hiding things, ! I'd put the valuable coins in the safety deposit box like mentioned earlier. Than put the less valuable coins in a shoe box and put it where the crooks would LEAST expect it. Places like in the pantry, behind the toilet, in a trash can, etc. I'd also buy a cheap safe at walmart and put a brick in it, chances are, the dumb crooks will take that instead of the coins. I've seen them for $30 and $40 at walmart. Better to lose $40 than lose your whole coin collection, eh?
hide it in somewhere big, because thieves will not be able to take it. DO NOT hide it inside an edible or drinkable, because a thief might get hungry or thirsty and find whatever you are hiding.
who pulls the trigger when you aren't at home???? secrecy and/or a really big dog are the best options to hide a coin collection.
