It's pretty, no doubt...but I find it a bit odd. Was the paper folded flat over the ends or curled around the edge?

I just don't understand how the color is so uniform all the way out to the rim.

It wasn't a shotgun roll... Just a paper roll.

Original bank roll I'm assuming, not a roll from circulation. It's really nice, I like it.

I hate to say it, and I usually wouldn't. But it looks AT to me. The spots, the speckles, covering the entire coin, that just isn't how natural toning usually occurs. Especially on an end of roll coin in an ordinary paper roll.

If I had to guess, I'd guess somebody salted the roll.

I would respectfully disagree. I have opened up such rolls, especially 1964's as they seem to mainly have been rolled up straight from the bank, and see such toning. My guess LD is it was a paper roll with the fold over flaps, and the flaps on that end weren't the tightest, and most likely stored flat or on the other end. I bought a group of stuff once that half the end coins were like this and the other half darker, (some to the point of damage).

Looks natural to me, but just my opinion of course.

It is a beautiful coin...but it does not look like a Type C to me.
