we search rolls of coins from banks, and anything of interest ( silver wheat ect) gets accounted for, and we keep a tally for what we have done for the month,

I did around $180k last year... I didn't even have time to search halves for half the month cause I was busy moving and settling in, I'll be doing $2k a week, minimum, from here on out now that I have my ordering set up. There will probably be the occasional weeks where I have extra cash and up my volume to $4k-$5k in halves a week. It's all a part of the game... volume pays off.

I am very curious about this massive roll searching I am reading about.

What do you do with the coins that are not "Keepers"? Re Roll them and sell them back to the Bank?

Is this mainly about finding the higher Silver content coins? or older coins if they are pennies/nickels?

    Thank you,

    Robert

Yes, we search for Silver, old Coins, proofs, anything worth more than face value, then reroll the searched Coins and dump them at the Bank. Anything worth more than face is saved.
Uh, if you start roll hunting, be sure you have an account at the bank you're buying/dumping at or they'll grow tired of you quite quickly...

When you buy these Rolled Coins do you ask for anything specific, like machine rolled?

Or do you just go in your bank and ask for any box/roll of coins?

As you may be able to detect, I'm thinking about doing this too!

    Thanks in advance...

I just ask for certain amounts of specific denominations, and just take what they give me. I don't do boxes, just rolls that they have on hand and usually smaller amounts - $5-40 at a time.

I should have looked harder, I didn't even though there was a second page of thread in the new Coin Roll Hunting Forum. Here's what I managed to gather from circulation....

    $2100 in dimes
    11 x Roosie

    $3012 in halves
    13 x 40%er
    2 x 1964 Ken
    12 x Frankie
    5 X Walking Liberty

For the small amount I searched I was able to pull over 9.5ozs of silver and was a great month for me.
