Thanks! I can not tell if it on the coin or on the plastic. I appreciate that the scratches are on top of plastic. I've seen plastics in much better shape than this one But the main thing is the coin! Professional original images::yes:
It looks like roller marks on her cheek. I think it comes from the transport mechanism when the blanks are being punched out of the sheet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Chris
Possible. Either way those marks are on the coin, not the plastic. It is drastically over-graded IMO. In fact there was a day not so long ago that that coin would never have made it into a slab to begin with.
I didn't want to be mean, but I have to concur. The massive die crack is kind of distracting, and a massive contact smack in the center of the chest. The chest lacks any real detail? I would of expected more perfection from the high end of the 65 scale? Still a nice freaking coin!
Which is more mean - to not let someone know they made such a mistake and thus allow them to make it again ? Or to tell the truth about the coin ? You also have to think about any and all others that may see that coin and think it's OK. Then they'd make the mistake. While I understand your comment, I'll stick with my choice.

G, You voiced your opinion, not the truth. FWIW, I don't necessarily disagree with your assessment (although I might give some credit to the two groups of professionals who have actually seen the coin in-hand), but that doesn't change the difference between opinion and fact/truth....Mike
