The back side of this coin is flawless where as the front is well see pic. Any idea what kind of error this is and what the coin maybe worth ty!
what i was thinking myself but after looking at it with a jewelers loop and trying to flake a small bit off. Its easy to tell its all metal not glue at all.
Give it a soak in acetone. Really hard to tell, but from the pics I have to agree with the glue. I have seen hundreds of "error" coins like this. I have even went so far as to have a person come back and tell me the acetone ruined their error by taking the extra metal away. Had one person tell me that the coin was struck with an image of Snoopy.. I still havent found a coin with snoopy on it.. but hey...
