Pricing will depend on grade. An NGC graded MS62 sold on eBay for $1750.

Is this graded? and did the TPG attribute the VAM?

Pricing will also be determined by if the coin is still in the original GSA case or not.

In original GSA Holder graded MS64 not Vam attributed, but it is for sure. I can't find any sold doing online research.

    Who graded it?

If it isn't a VAM attributed, chances are it may not have the VAM6 criteria.

How about pics? Especially large, clear ones of the date on the obverse as the VAM6 is a doubled 18 in the date.

If a MS62 sold for $1,750. This is on par with what a 90 GSA with no VAM would sell for in that grade. Being that it is not a Top 100 I'd think the value the VAM would add would be minimal.

My bad, that is with no VAM attribution.

    .
Actually, if I remember correctly, this was a common VAM for the pair of dies used that year in Carson City, so it wouldn't be considered a rare VAM, and you're right on the minimal premium, if any at all.

Numismedia lists an 1890CC MS64, for $14,810. I think that's quite high myself.

I'll check tomorrow. I have the second edition of "CC Dollars featuring coins of the GSA hoard" it'll tell me in there.

No good comps out there and it seems once again only my brother and I care about VAM's. Sure it's a nice coin but it's fun to find what combination it is. Thanks for the input!

I'm quite sure if NGC saw the VAM on this coin, and I think you have to pay the extra fee for attributions, they would have labeled it as such.

I don't see the doubling in the 18.

In so far as the sellers statement, "It has been graded MS64 by NGC and is not in an NGC holder. It does not come with original GSA box or Certificate.", these are graded right in the GSA holder by NGC, and they put a label across the bottom of it. Did you ask the seller why it's not in the GSA holder?
