Is anyone going to this show? I know that it is new this year, so I am not sure what to expect. Thanks.
Here are some of the details: New York Invitational Coin Show New York City July 22-24, 2004 I believe it is at the Grand Hyatt and David Lawrence Coins is holding the Richmond Collection auction as part of it (or in conjunction with it).
Here is a link to a coin dealer with the dates and times of the public sessions for the NY coin show. http://apps.heritagecoin.com/auctions/showschedule.php I could not find any sites from the show itself, though -- if anyone can find it, post a link! I'm in NYC on business a lot so I'll try to see if I can make it. The Hyatt is right inside Grand Central, so pretty convenient if you take Metro-North!!
I found a few more details about the show: Jul 22-24 NY, New York City. Invitational Coin Show. Grand Hyatt, Park Ave at Grand Central, A: $5. T: 100. F: $1,750. PH: 800-359-9430. Robert Brueggeman & Jill Lagardere, 425 E. Alvarado St. #E, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
I do believe those are the fees Admission - $5 Trade day - $100 Tables - $1750 'Course I could be wrong
Probably correct - but all major coin shows have a day in the beginning only open to dealers with tables at the show and those willing to pay a large admission fee. This allows these folks to spend the day buying, selling, trading with just each other. Quite often - more business will be conducted this one day than the rest of the of show combined.
