Is the first one a strike through error I'm seeing.

OK, I'll use a newbie card for this... "VAM"?

The 1st one is the 1899-O micro o. For this year/mint, it's the wrong mint mark size. It's the one that goes on a quarter, not a dollar.

The next one has a pitted reverse from rusted dies. It also has a large die gouge through the eagle's wing. It's another diagnostic to identify the VAM... there are many 21-P pitted reverse varieties.

Doug has a great explanation here.

That 3F is tough to find - it's almost impossible to see in photographs. I had to send all the way to China for mine. :)

I've got a few of them. Kinda lost interest when I started focusing on Capped Bust Halves. Here are c couple of Peace VAMs.

Hey Bonedigger, I like that 1923! Which VAM is that?

Oddly enough, I stopped at the same place again today. Did another search. Found another 1899-O micro O, another 1921-P 3F pitted reverse, another 1921-P wide reeding, and a 1923-P 1F chinbar, and a 1925-P 5 missing ray.

    Sorry for not getting back to you faster. I've been told it's a 1923 -P, 1U http://www.ashmore.com/vamupdate/92-Dec2005Flisting.htm Personally, I think it's a one 1923-P, 1G http://68.209.172.223/vamupdate/index.htm Both are pretty good :)

    Take Care

Your 23-P does seem to match the 1G image on the ashmore site. It even has that darker area above and below the D. I like it!
