    [IMG]I love it.

IMHO Jefferson looks better as Lady Liberty than he does as Mr. President.[IMG]

Uh, can you make an Eva Longoria Nickle??

Seriously that is really awsome, what others have you re-carved?

Bill, I'm a novice. What is a re-carve? By the way, funny as heck!

    recarve

it,s where i take a coin and change the design on it, this was a design i thought of, not another coin design..i do this by using the same tools gun and knife engravers use..

So when are you going to send that to the Mint for consideration? No kidding. It's better than some of the coins they come up with.

OK, Billzach, I'm going to be perfectly honest with you on this one (and I'm sure I'm going to catch a lot of flak from the other forum members)... but, I don't really care for this one.

Compared to some of the other work you've done (such as some of your dollars and Buffaloes), this one seems a bit bland. Now, please don't take this the wrong way... I think you're EXTREMELY talented and the "LIBERTY" band on this nickel is quite nice. But, to my eye, the nose and mouth just don't quite work on this one. I realize you're working from the Jefferson portrait on the original nickel and that is certainly going to dictate just how much you can do, but I honestly think this could have been better.

    new 2005 nickel

you are right about what you said, this was a 2 hour carving not one of my 15 to 20 hour carvings..there,s not much to work with on a 2005 nickel...

do you think it would be possible to carve an FDR into a TR.

How many years have you been doing that? I have heard of people being awesome at carving coins, but I've never seen it.
